1 The idea

It's not an ad. It's a heads-up.

This video is for your customers, the ones still asking where their paper card went. You're showing them the new way. It works because it's useful, not salesy.

πŸŽ₯
Make it however you like. Talk straight to camera, do a voiceover over your shop, or something we haven't thought of. Being on camera is entirely your call. Plenty of the best ones go either way.
2 Ideas

Six to steal. Or go your own way.

Pick one, mix two, or ignore the lot and make something better. The only rule is that a customer watching it should come away knowing how to use the thing.

01
Before and after
The paper card era versus now. Show the dog-eared cards, the shoebox behind the register, the ones that fall apart in a wallet. Then cut to the phone. Let the contrast do the talking.
Try opening with
"Remember these?"
02
What is PunchPass?
The plain-English explainer, in your words. What it is and why you switched, for someone who's never heard of it and doesn't care about apps.
Try opening with
"So we've gone digital. Here's what that actually means for you."
03
How does it work?
Start to finish: scan the QR, set up, tap the phone, stamp lands. The one that answers the question your staff get asked forty times a day.
Try opening with
"Never used it? Takes about ten seconds."
04
The free one
Skip the how and film the why. A regular hitting a full card and walking out with a free coffee. The reward is the bit people actually care about, so lead with it.
Try opening with
"This one's on the house."
05
Ask a regular
Point the camera at someone who already uses it and ask what they reckon. Thirty unscripted seconds from a real customer beats anything you could say about yourself.
Try opening with
"Honestly, is it better than the paper card?"
06
Behind the counter
Staff POV, mid-rush, queue out the door. Show how little time a tap actually takes when it's flat out. Good for the customers who assume it'll slow things down.
Try opening with
"Watch how quick this is."
✨
Got a better idea? Run with it. These are starting points, not a brief. The videos that do best are the ones nobody's seen before, so if you've got an angle that's yours, that's the one we want.
β˜•
Not a cafe? Same ideas, your version. Swap the coffee for a cut, a wash, a session. Whatever your reward actually is.
3 Example script

Stuck? Here's one that works.

This is the script from one of the videos below. It's an example, not a requirement. Read it word for word, tweak it, or write your own.

"Forgot your coffee card again? That's exactly why we went digital. At your shop name, you can now keep your loyalty card right on your phone. Just scan the QR code and set up your account in a few seconds. And every time you visit, simply tap your phone to collect your coffee stamp digitally. So no more lost card. Just coffee, and instant rewards."

πŸ—£οΈ
Say it like you'd say it to a regular. Warm and quick, not a radio ad.
4 Filming it

Two things that matter.

Everything else is up to you. Get these right and the rest takes care of itself.

πŸ“
Film in 9:16
Phone upright, full screen, exactly as if you were posting it to Instagram. If it'd look right as a Reel, you've got it.
πŸ”Š
Make sure we can hear you
This is the one that ruins otherwise good videos. Clear audio, no grinder going, no music blasting, no full room behind you. Find a quiet corner or a gap between rushes.

βœ… Do

  • Film 9:16, like an Instagram Reel
  • Get close so hands, phone and stamper fill the frame
  • Use daylight. Near a window is perfect
  • Move slowly, with small steady movements
  • Film somewhere quiet so your voice is clear

🚫 Skip

  • Filming sideways (landscape)
  • Standing back, since wide shots read as empty
  • Shooting into a bright window
  • Loud music or a noisy room over your voice
  • Peak hour. Film in a quiet ten minutes
5 Need inspiration?

Here's the vibe.

Real ones from real shops. Use the arrows to flick through. Yours doesn't need to beat these. It just needs to be yours.

🎬
Don't copy them exactly. Use them to see what good looks like, then do your own thing. Five identical videos help nobody.
6 Post it

Post it. Tag us. Done.

No approval queue, no waiting on us to say yes. Put it on your page as a Reel and tag:

@punchpass.app

Then send us the video file so we can post it in full quality on our page too.

Send us the file on Instagram β†’
Or email it to support@punchpass.app, whatever's easier.
7 What happens next

After you post.

πŸ””
We see the tag
The @punchpass.app tag is what tells us it's live. That's the whole trigger.
πŸ“’
We repost it
Your shop gets a shout-out in front of our whole audience. Send us the file and we'll post it properly rather than a grainy re-share.

Thank you. A real shop showing real customers beats any ad we could run. We appreciate it.
